Spencer Mason is a storyteller who bares no restriction to form.

Having spent years garnering an arsenal of observations and inspirations leading to their eclectic sound, drawing from the likes of Kae Tempest, The Prodigy and Idles, their debut album The Fox & The Butterfly has already amassed dedicated support. Gathering early spins from BBC Introducing and John Kennedy (Radio X), this album is set to expand its borders within the collective contemporary memory. A storyteller from heart to hook, they work to combine award nominated lyrics with a sonic experience like no other, ready to provide an emotional and thought-provoking alternative to a world clamouring with algorithms and reduced attention spans. Nominated by Wordplay & Flow awards (Best Musical Spoken Word Project & Best Poem) two years in a row, Mason became the first cover feature in the magazines new series of publications. Mason has worked as a sound designer and composer in theate and for the V&A Dundee.
Mason is also a published writer and poet. They won the Rosamund Prize in 2023 runner up in the nationally renowned Roundhouse Slam Poetry Championship 2022. Their poetry and prose have been widely anthologised with their debut Chapter Collection winning the Dreich Classics Chapbook competition, and a novel version of the Fox & the Butterfly widely rumoured…
